Photographic hire studio
Cicada studio is a professional, versatile, hire studio.
It is located within minutes of the CBD in Artarmon - close to L&P Photographics, Dragonimage, SBS, Fox Sports, Bunnings and Home HQ.
We have 2 separate spaces, suited to different types of shoots and budgets.
Studio 1 is a first floor, low clearance space suited for fashion, advertising, portraiture, castings, and small product. It suits smaller shoots of up to 5 people.
Studio 2 is a ground floor, high clearance, drive-in space suited to fashion, advertising, automotive, food, portraiture and product photography. It suits up to 10 people.

We've got some introductory rates to encourage you to test out the space:
STUDIO 1 -
Half days (4 hours) are $140+GST. This includes use of a 500WS flash head, plus any booms, tripods, stands and any light modifiers you need. Flash heads and power packs are additional, and start from $15 + GST for a half day. You are also welcome to bring your own lighting equipment if you wish.
Full days (8 hours) are $180+GST. This includes use of a 500WS flash head, plus any booms, tripods, stands and any light modifiers you need. Flash heads and power packs are additional, and start from $20 + GST for a full day. You are also welcome to bring your own lighting equipment if you wish.
STUDIO 2 -
Half days (4 hours) are $180+GST. This includes use of 2.2m parabolic reflector (the massive light in studio shots above) with 1500WS flash head and pack, booms, tripods, stands and any light modifiers you need. Flash heads and power packs (other than that included with the parabolic reflector) are additional, and start from $15 + GST for a half day. You are also welcome to bring your own lighting equipment if you wish.
Full days (8 hours) are $250+GST. This includes use of 2.2m parabolic reflector (the massive light in studio shots above) with 1500WS flash head and pack, booms, tripods, stands and any light modifiers you need. Flash heads and power packs (other than that included with the parabolic reflector) are additional, and start from $20 + GST for a full day. You are also welcome to bring your own lighting equipment if you wish.
Overtime for studio 1 is $30 + GST per hour. Overtime for studio 2 is $50 + GST per hour. Cast and crew numbers above 5 in studio 1, and above 10 in studio 2 are $10 + GST for a half day, and $20 + GST for a full day. 50% cancellation fee if booking cancelled within 24 hours of scheduled hire.
The studio is available for hire 7 days and evenings, subject to availability.
